The Most Instagrammable Places in Warsaw and Krakow

Are you planning a trip to Poland and looking for the best spots to take some good Instagram-worthy shots? Look no more – I am about to reveal to you the most Instagrammable places in Warsaw and Krakow, which I found during my trip there. Poland hides some of the most beautiful churches, squares and views in Europe, so let’s uncover them together.

Most Instagrammable places in Warsaw

Warsaw Old Town

The colourful and picturesque Old Town in Warsaw should be first on your list of the best Instagram places here. It will be hard to take a bad picture in the area – this is paradise for all of us looking to create some nice shots. Capture the beautiful buildings from above by climbing up St. Anne’s Church – the view is totally worth it.

Warsaw University of Technology

When I first saw a photo from this place, I couldn’t believe this was a university building. I literally went there and spent well over half an hour inside just to take photos. Don’t judge me – I had to do it. I mean…  Look at how beautiful it is.

Warsaw University Library Garden

Keeping it going with the topic of awesome universities, the roof of the Warsaw University Library is perfect for adding some greenery to your feed. This is one of the largest rooftop gardens in Europe, and its architecture is impressive, to say the least. As I visited in February, most of the gardens were closed for visitors, but we still managed to enjoy some parts of it.

St. Florian’s Cathedral

The St. Florian’s Cathedral, located in Praga district, is one of the most impressive buildings in Warsaw. The 75-meter towers can be spotted even from the other side of the river. The interior of the church is just as beautiful and interesting as the exterior, so don’t forget to take a look inside. This was, again, one of those places that I went to just to take a few shots for Instagram. However, if you have some extra time on your hands, enjoy this church’s beauty a little longer. You won’t regret it.

Palace of Culture and Science

Once you are in Warsaw, you cannot just skip this building – it’s a true Instagram gem. Located right next to the Central Station, the place is very easily accessible by public transport. The building itself already makes for a great shot, but the view from it is the cherry of the cake. Take an elevator to the 30th floor and capture the whole city of Warsaw from above.

Plac Wilsona Metrostation

Plac Wilsona is probably the coolest looking metro station in Warsaw. It kind of looks like a spaceship and this is what it makes it so remarkable. It’s part of the M1 line in Warsaw and in 2008 it even won an award for the best recently constructed station. It might not be the perfect option if you are going for a clean and bright Instagram theme, but it can definitely be a remarkable addition.

Most Instagrammable places in Krakow

Old Town – Main Square

The most emblematic and top Instagram-worthy place in Krakow is undoubtedly the Main Square in the Old Town. The place is huge and surrounded by charming buildings, cafes, restaurants and what not. Don’t forget to take a photo with the gorgeous horses and carriages in front.

St. Mary’s Church

St. Mary’s Church can be seen on most postcards, souvenirs and magnets from Poland. The building is part of the Main Square and enchants you with its impressive size and beautiful facade. We have all seen the beautiful shots on Instagram in front of this exact church. Why not try and create some of your own!? Extra points if you manage to capture the flying pigeons around. 😉

Mariacki Tower

The two towers of St. Mary’s Church offer an amazing view of the Main Square. The taller one of both – the Mariacki Tower, is open almost all year around, so don’t miss a chance to snap a photo from a bird eye’s perspective. Indeed, you won’t have the church in the frame, but the rest of the square is just as beautiful.

Wawel Castle

Located in close proximity to the main square, the Wewel Castle is another must-see place when in Krakow. The building itself is beautiful, but it’s also a great standpoint for a view over the city – a perfect addition to your Instagram feed.

St. Joseph’s Church

This church, built in the beginning of 20th century, represents the beauty of neo-gothic style. St. Joseph’s Church is slightly hidden from the touristic areas and main roads, but still easily accessible. The architecture is magnificent, and the closer you get – the more all the details start catching your eye. At first I even thought it looked like a castle because of how pretty it is. If you ask me, this is the perfect place to capture your next viral Instagram photo.

Bistro Charlotte

Let’s end our tour with this hidden gem – Bistro Charlotte. Stop by to have a delicious breakfast and enjoy the cosy and stylish interior. They also serve high quality pastries and the coffee is one of the best you could find in Krakow. The cafe has two floors, and the view from the upper floor is even better – capture the beautiful counter shelves, filled with yummy bread, pastries and other tasty-looking stuff. I could not not include it in this list of best Instagram spots, and this photo shows why.
